Where we operate · London
Drywall and partition contractor in London.
The trade goes back to 1986, and London has been part of EDM's footprint across that time. The London fit-out market rewards a subcontractor who builds the ratings to a tested system and documents them — Building Control and a fire-strategy regime that has only got tighter make sure of it — and that is exactly how we build.
What we deliver
Commercial office fit-out is the heart of the London market, and the drywall package sits at the centre of it: metal stud partitions, dry lining, MF and suspended ceilings, and the fire- and acoustic-rated systems a London building depends on. We build to the certified system and the relevant British Standard, set out from the grid and the reflected ceiling plan, and finish to the level the specification calls for — taped through to a Level-5 finish where critical lighting demands it.
Drywall is our core, and we self-deliver the timber, glazing, painting and joinery around it, so a main contractor gets one accountable team for the interior rather than a chain of subcontractors to coordinate.
What we build
How we work in London
We mobilise to the main contractor's site rules, build the rated systems to satisfy Building Control and the fire strategy, and keep the build-up documented for inspection. On cat-A and cat-B office work we set out around the base build and the incoming tenant's fit-out, and where the floor is occupied we sequence around the people still using it.
